”The Azure Window developed through sea and rain erosion of a cliff face over a period of about 500 years and has been fascinating millions of tourists and locals for many years. The iconic, massive arch landmark with its flat top over the sea at Dwejra, has been sadly swept away by gale force winds and high waves on 8th of March of 2017.
We can still see Azure Window featured in a number of films, including Clash of the Titans (1981) and The Count of Monte Cristo(2002). It can also be seen in the television miniseries The Odyssey (1997) , TV series Game of Thrones, Hugo Boss (2017) advert video and our Checkmate TV show (2015) season one and in the opening scene in episode 3 which will be out later this year.”
